The Mighty Probe is an insulated metal soil probe that has a current isolator to increase operator protection against electrical shock. The high-quality alloy steel shaft resists bending and bowing and is threaded for a tip or coupler and extension. The tapered edges of the tip make penetration and withdrawal easier. The Mighty Probe lengths includes the 6" current isolator. Therefore, the 48" Mighty Probe allows you to probe 42" deep (48" overall minus 6" isolator equals 42" rod).
